Graunar wine farm (Collio) was created in 1920 by Carlo Graunar,
and it grew under the direction of his brothers, Giovanni,
Francesco and Luigi. In 1998 Davide, Carlo’s young grandson,
driven by his passion and his love for the earth and its fruits,
surrounded himself with skilled technical staff, in order to
lead the farm towards the highest levels of quality.
Collio is a land with a marked vocation for wine-making, The
hills, made of marl and sandstone, provide a perfect climatic
environment for growing vines: they are protected by the Alps
and close to the Adriatic Sea. This particular situation makes
for a soil which abounds in precious elements proportioned to
perfection by nature itself. From gemmating to grape-gathering,
the vines enjoy excellent environmental and climatic conditions,
thus preserving their specific characteristics.
Only the best grapes are brought to the
cellars, where they will become wine after being processed with
the utmost care, using the latest in technology and equipment.
